Transcript for "AI in Procurement and Sourcing":
Hello, everyone, and a very warm welcome to the RealAI work, RealAI at Work Academy in procurement and sourcing. Thank you so much for joining us today. We are thrilled to have you here. We can see a very active group already, and many of you are doing what I was actually gonna ask you to do in one of the early steps. But before we jump into the agenda and some of the housekeeping items, I wanna introduce myself and and, my co presenters here today. I'm Tricia Miller. I have responsibility in Coupa for product marketing and customer experience marketing, but I come to Coupa and that role with a deep experience in procurement. My entire, my entire career has been spent in either the transformation or leading large complex procurement functions. And so very excited to bring that perspective, to Coupa as we now work on our product messaging and and customer experience messaging. I'm joined by Raj from Accenture who is, a leading a thought leader in, procurement and AI for Accenture, and Elsa, senior solution adviser at Coupa who's gonna do our demo. Both of them will do a much better job on their introduction when, I bring them in for their particular sections. So what I've popped up here today today on this slide is the agenda. But before I get into that, I do want to mention or or round back to that housekeeping. We I hope at this point everybody can see the attend or see the on the right hand side of your screen, the engagement panel. This is gonna be pretty key throughout our discussion. There's a few different tabs in that. First and foremost, there's the chat tab. This is public, people are trickling in, some of you have already done it but if you can, please enter your where you're from and where you're joining us from today so we can see that. This is available for everyone to see. The next one is the q and a tab. This is important. In that tab, we're really hoping that you'll be able to put your questions. We anticipate a lot of interaction today and that is very much in line with what we hope for. If you have a question for the speakers, please drop it in there and we'll be reviewing that throughout the session and trying to get back with answers to as many of those as possible. Lastly but not least, you'll see the polls tab will pop up at certain points of this session. We will, pause throughout these presentations to raise some questions. And during that time, the poll tab will appear. So please, take a minute, respond to the poll. We'll share some of those results, but it's really gonna be helpful as we go through that and to make sure that we're reflecting your responses in the poll throughout the presentation and the messaging that we share. So back to the agenda. We're gonna talk about why AI is important now. Many of you are here. This is very large audience attended because you are all feeling the pressure or seeing a massive opportunity to understand how AI can help procurement transform. We're again then gonna turn to Raj who's gonna get a deep pers perspective from Accenture on the state of AI and procurement and how it's driving change and how the function operates. At that point, we're gonna turn, to return to some of the perspective and the AI that Coupa has been building within our solution and why we've been able to effectively deliver that AI based on the database and data source that Coupa has. At that stage, I'm gonna turn it to, the demo, which is an incredible section that will show you some of that AI in Coupa come to life. And, of course, then we'll do summary and closing. And if we have time, take some more of those questions and answers, and that we didn't get to. But, again, I encourage you to put those questions in throughout, and as much as possible, we'll try and weave the responses into our, what we present. Now let's start with that poll piece. What you should see is the poll tab appear in that engagement section on the right hand side. And if you can help us understand, where would you classify your company's organization? Are you beginner at this stage, starting to explore it? Do you think you're intermediate and I bet you have a few AI projects, in play, or do you consider yourself advanced? We see some answers coming in already. Quite a few 100 people or thereabouts and close to a 100 have voted already. We'll give it another minute and see if that shifts or another couple of seconds. But, this really helps us understand as we present and make sure that we're bringing the right level, perspective. Okay. I think this is pretty consistent to what we've seen in some of these sessions. Most people are really trying to figure this out from the beginning, and then some smaller number are intermediate. And then as we've seen, very fewer advanced. And but what we're hoping to do throughout this session is help you elevate your level of understanding so that maybe a few more of you move from beginner into intermediate and are really looking at how you can bring your organization along on that thinking as well. So, again, thank you for doing that. There's some more polls coming up, so we look forward to your continued input throughout the session. Alright. As I committed, let's start with why AI in procurement now is important. I I believe whether you're in many of you said you're beginner or not, everybody is talking about AI. And there's a lot of pressure on c level leaders to look at how they adopt it, but it comes with both challenges and opportunities. That pressure to adopt doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna deliver an ROI. And so how the value is measured and can be communicated is a challenge for our, for our leaders as they look at where and how it can be applied within their function. And there's also a need to govern AI. It is about the human and the machine working together to make sure that we're getting the right outcomes, and that level of governance is essential to the success of the company and the function as it adopts AI. But if it's adopted and when it's adopted effectively, the opportunities to transform the workforce, to increase spend visibility, and to really accelerate the autonomy within, the function and how it operates is significant, which is why so many of us are really invested in looking at how we can apply AI and drive that level of success within our function. I think many of us have seen big numbers on slides at this point around what AI is gonna do for the function. I think what's interesting in this one is we're already a little bit on this stage in the journey where some of these big numbers are are showing that, AI is not succeeding or delivering the value we expected. There was a study that came out of MIT over the summer. It was published in Forbes magazine that says ninety five percent of AI pilots are failing. The interesting piece of this, though, it was it noted that it wasn't because the technology wasn't capable of doing what it was being applied to do. It was that the organization wasn't applying it in the right way, or the organization wasn't bringing the workforce along on the journey so that they could fully understand how to use it. And what we're invested in, both through the the general topics that I'll cover, the deeper dive that Raj is gonna present, and what we'll show you in this demo is that we can we can help you avoid some of these pitfalls. There are key elements to success in the adoption of AI so that your pilot or your program overall deliver that ROI. Because what we have seen is that 67% of businesses that purchase AI tools from specialized vendors are succeeding in that revenue. And this is the key. Looking at how AI can elevate your current operating model, your current operating procedures, your current processes is really where you will see that differentiation. And we have seen with our customers and Coupa customers, some of the numbers here demonstrate particular customers and the success they've seen. So through leveraging AI within the Coupa platform, Sanofi have been able to see 97% plus 97%, point one percent first time match rates for their PO and invoices. Clear Consulting have seen 99% of their invoices processed digitally. If we look at what AstraZeneca have been able to achieve, they've reduced the cycle time to just four business hours. And then Sonic, for a critical contract, were able to see an eleven point three business days turnaround. That was down in their particular case for months. And then last but not least on this, slide, we see that, HF Sinclair reduced expense report approval time down to seven point five business hours. All of these outcomes, real solutions, real value, are delivered because of the AI leveraged within the system and built on top of that Coupa solution. And so what we're hoping through this, webinar and in continued discussions, Coupa will be able to deliver similar type results for each and every one of you. With that being said, though, I do wanna turn it over at this point now to Raj who is gonna give us a much deeper view on Accenture's perspective of the state of AI and procurement and where it can deliver those differentiated outcome. So, Raj, Thank you, Tricia. Hi, everyone. welcome. Raj Bajaj, eighteen years of experience in sourcing procurement, based in the West Coast. As part of Accenture, as Tricia mentioned, I am one of the leaders for AI and procurement, really helping to support our clients and partners, build their AI strategy, help them develop their roadmaps, and truly work with ecosystem partners like Coupa that have usable capabilities and will help procurement organizations achieve their value objectives and really enhance your working kind of day to day. So, with that, I'm gonna take you through Accenture's perspective of procurement's next frontier in AI and, you know, how we're seeing operating model transform, you know, how are we looking at the source to pay function as a capability process and, that organizational perspective. But let's start with a poll here. How would you rate your procurement data readiness for AI? So go ahead and, submit your answer. K. Why don't we, why don't we start flipping to the results? Gonna see where the majority's landed here. K. Looks pretty much split between low, so siloed data and consistent or messy, emerging where, you know, there is some clean data, right, in certain areas, maybe in your p two p area or, your contracting or sourcing area. So, you know, data is a key foundation for AI success. I mean, without it, it can truly be, you know, recipe for disaster. If you're thinking about your data maturity now, you're not alone. I mean, most customers are looking at how much data is enough to get started. Right? You'll never get the perfect data model. Right? But starting on your AI transformation journey is the best way to understand where you can start utilizing AI and what data you have and don't have. Right? So the best thing to do is to get started, work with your solution ecosystems, and and and get a feel for what data you can utilize to to start your journey on AI. But as we think about procurement's next frontier, AgenTic AI is truly the catalyst for shaping this change. In the near future, we will see an augmentation of agents working with our teams side by side as digital laborers. And these agents will be tasked through roles, through goal seeking capabilities, but will be training over time just like a new analyst or a new hire team member. Over time, you know, these agents, they have memory. They they can reason. They'll improve the performance and continue to expand output and drive results just like our human team would. As we discussed, the data foundation is a critical step to the success of these days digital laborers being able to perform, you know, their job effectively. But we also need to consider how we will govern, manage, train, and sometimes replace these agents as your organization continues to mature on all fronts. If we go to the next one, you know, transforming procurement on an AI first lens will certainly drive efficiency and innovation, you know, cross functionally across legal, finance, and your business partners. And this will be enabled by how we autonomize agents that can work across these functions and build predictive capabilities that these these agents need to be able to learn or forecast or, monitor for bottlenecks in your process. Right? Velocity to value is a key metric in this transformation of AI in your operating model and is truly enabled by a strategy of empowering the right agents or digital laborers in your organization that are powered by or with your ecosystem solutions like Coupa. But we need to be able to support these agents, through audit, traceability, being able to monitor, govern, set the rules, understand, and and help these agents kind of learn over time. Right? So this is not, you know, something that you flip, but something that continues to grow and build over time. And so organizationally, you will also need to start thinking about, you know, how you will upscale or acquire new talent in your organization that can evaluate and adjust the for the performance of these agents to be able to train and govern them. Right? As we think about the source to pay capabilities, you know, we have a point of view on where we believe AI will augment your people in upstream categories, such as category management, demand planning, budgeting, business partnering. These are all areas that rely on relationship driven work between functions and the business. And more autonomous capabilities in your process such as purchase to pay, supplier life cycle management, and eventually source to contract. These are areas where we will be able to autonomize with agents to truly transform how you work day to day, become the kind of that manager of agents, and drive more of that strategic work across your end to end process. Enabling this picture, though, will drive revenue growth, cost reduction, velocity, and experience supported by a major increase in efficiency, moving organizations from that 10 x that we try to strive for today to a 20 x ROI in the future. Let's go to another poll. So how agentic is your procurement function today? Are you manually and reactive? Are you looking at GenAI as copilots? Are you using a AI powered insights? Are you on the track of autonomous agents? So let's let's take your answer. K. See the results coming in. Okay. So a majority of you today are manual and reactive. That's okay. We're all kinda getting started on on AI. There's obviously been a lot of developments and evolution in the last couple years, with GenAI to now, how we're framing up on Ajentic AI. Sounds like there's a a bunch of you that have been kind of working in GenAI co pilots. There's been a lot of kind of cases where we're starting to see, like, the chat gbts. We're seeing agents being built, you know, that are driving certain tasks like writing RFPs or summarizing contracts. A majority of us are just kinda getting started on the AI, agentic journey. That's great. So as we talk about, the the the lead from, you know, the front, middle, back office, you know, how do we get to this kind of business and partner, centric, capability. You know, we're seeing kind of the shift of moving from kind of silo areas, right, from how we looked at front, middle, back office to more of this kind of business and partner supplier focus. So the the ability to move, you know, in the agentic capability is going to allow us to really focus on working with those business advisory teams, getting in early, you know, working with our suppliers end to end, looking for innovation opportunities, you know, continuous improvement. We're able to function as procurement on a more kind of unified, end to end spectrum. K? As we dive deeper into the capabilities, if you had to pick where you would start on AI, the following capabilities in market, like market intelligence, you know, category management, sourcing, right, all these areas that are marked with lightning bolts are gonna be the highest kind of value areas that you're gonna see, value coming out of the organization. And this this is where we're talking about kinda hard dollars, the the greatest efficiency. Right? So as we think about where you're starting on your journey, these are the areas that you're gonna see the biggest, benefit, of of building in AI and agentic capabilities. K? Let's look at a high level sourcing process and what it can look like agents. So as I mentioned earlier, you know, agents can memorize. They can reason collectively, with each other, they can work in parallel without waiting for one another or, you know, to start the workday as humans do. Right? So as we work in parallel activities upfront, that will not only drive improved time to market, but also help with understanding the best possible strategy to market. You know, humans will be in the loop of everything of, you know, verifying that market approach, making sure that we agree with the go to market strategy, ensuring that we're monitoring what the agents are doing as part of executing the RFx process. And, again, a lot of this work can be done in parallel with multiple agents just as your team would, you know, working, together. Right? So the difference is here that we are now gonna be able to drive sourcing with a greater throughput and output, but also with the right, information and probably better information than we could traditionally as as a human only, process. So we are, moving from a 13 plus, call it even 20 plus, you know, linear touch point of view to a dynamic parallel, you know, four to five kind of touch point, process and sourcing. So that's the power of AgenTek AI. And to sum it all up, in terms of the benefits that you can get, you know, AgenTic AI is truly transform transformational, and I see procurement's chance to finally get to the seat of the table or drive the early involvement in the procurement process, you know, drive the 10 x, to 20 x ROI, truly doing more with less. So I think I've used four cliches in one, sentence. But the point is is that we are able to now enable ourselves, with this capability and this technology, and we're truly in this transforminal, transformational era of AgenTek. So, with that, Trisha, I'll turn it back to you. There we go. I come off mute, and thanks very much. I'll I'll pause for a second, and leave Raj your contact details here, obviously, in case anybody wants to, take take note of them. And, obviously, details will be shared after the call as well. But I think and hope that everybody agrees with some incredible content there that really demonstrates when we look at what AI can do within the function, the art of the possible. But we do recognize that, it it is a journey because, as we saw, people are still working on standardizing the processes and getting their, data up to date. But I we have to acknowledge that even those steps are of significant value because it means people are moving in the right direction. So exciting times for everybody. But for those of you on Coupa, let's talk a little bit about, Coupa AI cross source to pay and some of the built in components that are already there for you. Right? Your data is within the system. Your processes are within the system. And so looking at how your existing applications and the AI being built within your existing applications can fundamentally transform how you operate is a great place for you to, to to continue on that journey. So you heard, obviously, Raj talk about augmented and autonomous intelligence. What we've highlighted here is some of the components within built into Coupa already, already delivering augmented and autonomous activities, to you or or potentially available to you if you're not already using them. But we, through the data layer, the, $8,000,000,000,000 worth of data that Coupa has, and we can present pricing insights and prescriptive recommendations to, secure the best possible prices as you are, activating sourcing activities within the solution. We can assist in converting supplier emails into PO confirmations within the system. And then streamline productivity through, natural language by guiding users through everyday tasks. Right? These are some of the augmented intelligent activities that are already within the system. When you look at autonomous and and where Coupa is helping you, deliver autonomy on, or actions with, full autonomy, there are agents that are able to instantly produce structured, customized contract summaries or using agents that using natural language natural language prompts can create, analytics reports and data views for you. There is real time activity within the system that can highlight potentially fraudulent or questionable purchasing and invoice activity and flag that to an individual for further follow-up. These types of activities are bringing AI to life within your company, within your processes on a daily basis. And this is just a a very high level view of them because Coupa has more than a 125 different AI active within every step of the process. I will, at this point, highlight Navi. Navi is Coupa's agent, and is bringing activities to life with that true autonomous mindset. And so if you haven't looked, closely at what Navi has released in previous releases and the very significant uplift that Navi is going to release in the upcoming January, Coupa release. Please take a look because Navi is focused on taking common processes and problems and driving that full autonomy to reduce the effort of the procurement team in the execution of those steps. And we've been Coupa's been able to build this level of AI within the system and now deliver, Navi because of that $8,000,000,000,000 worth of data that I mentioned. The reality of it is that the Coupa system has contractually compliant anonymized data across all of our community and able to use those community insights to highlight those pricing points, to identify potential fraudulent, purchasing or invoicing processes and and activities and and to create those activities within the agentic AI Navi to drive that level of efficiency. And that $8,000,000,000,000 of data allows us to train the Navi agent faster than even we anticipated and, as I mentioned, now to roll out Navi use cases that you can take advantage of, at a, at a faster pace. What I highlight here is that by January 26, these are the agent use cases that are gonna be available. The items in green are in general availability. The items in pink are in limited availability. And then, of course, wanted to highlight some of the items in blue that are on the road map. What's extremely important for you to do is to recognize that AI should be leveraged to solve a business problem, to create efficiency within the process that you're already executing, or to help you execute a process that you currently are in staff to do or haven't been historically able to do. But if you look at the individual agents and you look at the problems they're trying to solve, that is where you should be investing your time in looking at how you then adopt that agent to drive that efficiency for you. And so one key takeaway that I want everyone to do is to really stay close to this road map, for the agents. We communicate this on a very frequent basis after each release, and then we have a view of what's coming by the '26. If you understand what agents are coming and how those agents can help you within your processes, you will be able to more effectively adopt them as soon as they're available and get that value that they can deliver for you as you execute. That is where true differentiation in the adoption of AI is possible. So with all of that, what's most important is that we bring some of these pieces to life for you. Right? When we talk about the AI that's embedded in the system and is surfacing insights and intelligence or insights and intelligence, or when we talk about what Navi can do, really, it's about showing you how, it can be executed. So at this point, I'm gonna welcome Elsa back to the stage, and we're gonna turn over to that solution demo, which hopefully is, will inspire all of you on the art of the possible. Thank you, Elsa. Thank you, Tricia. If you wouldn't mind stopping sharing, I'll go ahead and share my screen. Perfect. Alright. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, everyone from wherever you are calling in. My name is Elsa. Like Tricia mentioned, I'm a part of our solution advisory org at Coupa, and I specifically focus on our AI solutions. So, really, my role is to work with our customers, our prospective customers every day, understand your your biggest challenges, and then bridge those challenges through working with our product and our sales teams to ensure that our AI solutions are actually solving those challenges. And today, very commonly, we're hearing across, you know, procurement and sourcing teams like you heard from Raj, from Tricia, that you all are challenged with disconnected systems, fragmented data, slow manual processes that are hindering efficiencies as well as decision making. And now more than ever, your leaders, you all on this call are looking to AI to solve some of these challenges. Right? But again, as we've heard, it can be hard to to know where to start. So today, we're gonna actually see how our AI native platform, Coupa's AI native platform solves these challenges by seamlessly integrating real domain purpose built AI across the entire source to pay process, Enabling you all, our procurement and sourcing teams, to accomplish tasks faster, to accomplish tasks better, and then to accomplish tasks that you've really never been able to do before. Alright. So starting off here, I log you in to Coupa. Perfect. And no need to answer this in the chat or but feel free to. You know, how many folks here feel that you have a great handle on your spend and you can easily put together custom reports or dashboards in a few minutes? If I were to guess based on my experience, that would not be very many many of you. Right? So today, a lot of you are are struggling with fragmented systems, data everywhere, and it's difficult to actually pull insights off of this data. But with Coupa and specifically Navi, our agent, this is all changing. So I'm gonna go ahead and ask Navi to go ahead and build me an analytics chart of approved purchase request spend by purchase request month last year in 2024. Now historically, getting insights or getting to this, you know, level of of spend insights may require IT or at the very least a skilled BI report writer across your organization. Now we're able to use conversational intelligence to simply ask Navi what we need. Right? So Navi is now letting us know that it's choosing the correct fields, it's finding the relevant dimensions, it's finding the relevant filters, and then it's calculating our spend based on the parameters we've set it. It's also keeping us updated as it goes ahead and and calculates these reports. So we'll give Navia a couple minutes to to load here. Again, what today may take days, weeks, at the very most hours, now is is taking less than sixty seconds. Navi has indicated that it's gone ahead and calculated our spend. It's created a custom chart directly in the chat of our PO spend or purchase request spend by month, and it's even allowing us to navigate to analytics where it's shown us its work. It's shown us exactly how it's filtered these reports, what dimensions it's pulled in, and enables us to further edit, save, add this to an additional chat or additional dashboard from here. All of this is enabling your teams to create custom charts and reports 70 times faster with conversational intelligence and with Navi. Alright. So next, data classification and normalization can be a massive undertaking for teams. Again, you know, how many people on the on the call here would say that you have data that lives in multiple places? Maybe you have six different ERPs, an HRIS system, a CRM, a contingent workforce. With Coupa, we are actually pulling all of this data together whether it's spend in Coupa or whether it's spend external. Our teams and our AI is cleansing this data, classifying and normalizing this data so that you have an accurate clear picture of your spend on day one. Again, whether that spend originated in Coupa or external. And so here we're looking at an AI classification report that's looked at your spend holistically across all systems. And I'm gonna go ahead and filter this spend by our normalized supplier Microsoft. Right. So I'm gonna go ahead and search for Microsoft here. And then I'm going to refresh my report. Here we can see that Coupa's AI spend classification has found four variations of Microsoft across all your different systems named slightly different. We've normalized all of those suppliers so that we can now have an accurate, clear picture of our spend with Microsoft across all systems, across all companies, so that we can then start being strategic and driving, you know, operational efficiencies, savings, etc, off of this spend. Alright. So what once took IT teams, a dedicated team, significant times, days, weeks to cleanse this information is now happening with AI instantly within Coupa. Alright. So now we have a clean, clear picture of our spend. We have holistic visibility. But how do we now protect this spend and ensure that it's valid, it's compliant, and it's aligned to your policy? Or now we can use AI, leveraging Coupa Spend Guard, which acts as a full time auditor to spot potential risk, potential fraud, unusual spending patterns that are nearly impossible for the human eye to catch alone. Right? So today's age, this is more important than ever as fraudsters, as out of compliance spend is more sophisticated than ever using things like AI. Right? So with SpendGuard, it's monitoring all spend. I'm gonna specifically focus in on the procurement process and drill into requisitions where we can see SpendGuard is looking at employee behavior patterns across the platform to determine, is there an unusual amount of split requisitioning under a specific user's approval threshold or a high number of requisitions directly under that user's approval threshold? Drilling into some of these flags, we can look at an employee profile where we've anonymized the profile to ensure there's no bias and we can actually see at the employee level suspicious behavior not just across purchase requests but also across invoices, expenses, purchase orders, sourcing events and can start to investigate further. When we're looking at purchase orders, we're going beyond just fraudulent or potentially risky behavior, and we're simply looking at out of policy spend. Spend Guard is calculating and accumulating all of the purchase orders that have been generated after an invoice comes in, so after the fact purchase orders. It's also prioritizing a report of purchase orders that have gone through a very high number and unusually high number of change orders. Both, may indicate risky behavior. It may just indicate out of policy behavior that needs correction. Alright. And leveraging Spend Guard, our customers both Clorox and CRB be among many others have caught over a million dollars in just duplicate invoice spend when they turn Spend Guard on. So Spend Guard drives immediate time to value. You turn it on. There's no implementation, and it's automatically capturing these potentially risky transactions, fraudulent transactions instantly. Alright. So even with visibility, teams still struggle, procurement teams still struggle to translate this data into actual actions. So how do you start optimizing your spend and actually improving processes leveraging AI? I'm gonna drill into our insights here. And you'll notice that as you all begin transacting on Coupa or perhaps you're a customer and you already are transacting on Coupa, Coupa's AI is going to automatically measure your spend and your spend processes against key KPI goals around efficiencies, savings, and usage. And then we're gonna provide community AI driven insights and prescriptions or what I like to think of as recommendations, guided actions that your team can take directly in the platform based on $8,000,000,000,000 in real community data, real community transactional data that drives real AI outcomes for our customers. So for example, how do you know as a procurement professional if you've negotiated a fair price? Wouldn't it be nice to have a relevant benchmark? With our community generated AI and our AI pricing insights, Coupa's guiding your teams to potential savings of nearly $275,000 just on community pricing insights alone. So when we drill into AI pricing insights, not only are we seeing how is your pricing impacted across your organization, how often are folks across your company buying the same item for different prices. Maybe the same item lives across multiple contracts and multiple suppliers and you have opportunities or you're guided into opportunities to consolidate contracts or consolidate suppliers. When we compare our pricing against the community, that gives us insights into how do our prices stack up. Are we getting fair prices or is there room to better negotiate? This information can then drive that better negotiation or the contracting and sourcing activities in Coupa. And this is one of hundreds of AI capabilities that's helping drive an annual average savings of 5.8% on all spend across Coupa for our top customers. So real AI driving real results as we've heard from from Tricia and Raj. Alright. So now that we have a clear picture of our spend and our spend is protected, now let's look at putting that spend to use to drive AI guided category strategies. So I'm gonna drill into my sourcing tab, and I'm gonna drill into my category strategies. And I'm gonna drill into my strategies. Right? So for timing purposes, and, unfortunately, I can't go deep into our categories here, but know that we can actually leverage AI to create a guided category strategy. Right? So we don't have to have all the information. Perhaps we're new to creating category strategies and we wanna use the AI insights or that AI classified spend data to start driving a strategic category strategy, leveraging Coupa and feeding that AI classified spend into your category strategies. Coupa's AI can then help you guide you through a category or or guided strategy creation best based on best practices, based on what our customer base at $8,000,000,000,000 of spend is doing well. Once your categories are defined, we can then leverage AI to operationalize and report out on these categories. So we're looking at the management consulting category based on all of our inputs, based on the spend, the transactional patterns, our sourcing events, our research, our market data. We have a defined category scope. We're getting key insights into our management consulting category. We also have a nice executive overview, of exactly what's happening in this category, what strategies we're driving. And you'll notice the ability to edit any of these summaries with Navi. Right so Navi's easily summarizing information based on your inputs, based on market data. Navi's then providing a relevant executive summary which we can then customize maybe by generating in the form of a table. Maybe I'd like Navi to go ahead and give this just a moment. Maybe we'd like Navi to go ahead and make a quick report in bullets or we'd like Navi to highlight specific categories, one moment. So it becomes very easy to quickly edit our information, edit our our scopes here. Right? We can generate this as a paragraph. We can ask Navi to really customize any of this detail for us. And then once this information is complete, we can then use Navi to actually build custom reports, custom PowerPoints based on our strategies for us. Right? So not only do you no longer have to create custom reports, but now you're not having to create custom PowerPoints off of any of these strategies. That's where we can leverage this Gen AI. Alright. And this is just, again, one example of a conversational approach and and editing. There's so much more that we can do with AI and category strategy. Alright. So now we have clean data. We've got clear actionable category strategies. How do we actually execute against those strategies? So this is where Coupa's AI can empower your sourcing, your procurement, and your contract teams with AI intelligence and automation throughout the Source To Pay transactional process. And so we started with the end in mind, and now we're looking at, if we think about garbage in, garbage out, we're looking at the front end. What is the the data that's actually feeding all of these reports? And to drive that clean, clear data, it really starts with the end users. We need clean inputs and the ability to make it super easy for your end users or your buyers to request and purchase what they need, which drives best in class adoption and ultimately more spend under management. So I'm logged in as Rebecca, an infrequent end user who doesn't know the policies or the process, she just knows that she needs to request some software licenses. She's gonna quickly ask Navi or tell Navi that she needs 50 enterprise Figma licenses. She's gonna start a conversation with Navi who's asked her to provide any information about her sales contact or the supplier. She's gone ahead and inputted that information. Navi's been asking if she has any supporting documentation that she'd like to upload. She does in fact have an SOW or quote from the supplier, which she's gone ahead and uploaded to Navi. Navi's then reviewed that attachment and ingested the information, extracted the key details, and based on the the contract uploaded, based on Rebecca, who she is, as well as the organization specific policies, Navi has automatically created the guided intake purchase request on Rebecca's behalf. We have all the request details. We can see the supplier onboarding process has kick started, and the contracting process is moving forward in parallel bringing in the the relevant contracting and legal teams. And as these purchase requests are submitted across the organization, we wanna make it super easy for sourcing teams to proactively engage and drive more of these purchase requests spend through sourcing activities to ultimately drive more savings with the best lowest risk suppliers. Alright. So moving into that sourcing view, as these purchase requests are moving through approval, sourcing has visibility into all of the purchase requests, and leveraging Navi, they can start to generate GenAI automated sourcing events as well as sourcing reviews. So I can see all of the requisition lines coming through. I'm gonna simply select source this and source with Navi, and we can see Navi populating. Navi's now reviewing the relevant requisition lines I've populated and has pulled the relevant line items, details, items, and goods that we're gonna ultimately create a sourcing event off of. Navi has then, off of those items, looked for the relevant category and the relevant sourcing templates and has asked us if we'd like to go ahead and create the RFP. I'll go ahead and respond with yes and Navi's getting to work on our request. Navi's then looking for the relevant template again based on the items, it's selecting the template, it's updating the requisition lines, suppliers, and all of the other details, and it's ultimately created the RFP and is generating a summary. From here I can go ahead and view the summary where I can see all of the details that have ultimately been created on my behalf to ultimately kick start this sourcing event. From here I can drill into the sourcing event, suppliers are automatically notified, and we've autonomously created and submitted the sourcing event into production. Navi then takes this a step further when it comes time to award. So now the event has ended, all your suppliers have bid, and instead of going line by line through the supplier bids, we're gonna start to use Navi or GenAI to automatically summarize these events across multiple dimensions or your key dimensions. So I'm gonna pull up Navi again, and I'm gonna go ahead in our completed sourcing event, ask Navi to generate a response summary. We're gonna see Navi get to work reviewing the event, reviewing all the supplier bids, and then ultimately providing its recommendation based on what's most important to us. Right. So we can see the supplier participation statistics as in how the suppliers have responded, how quickly they responded, what they bid against or not, how many suppliers, response are rated against cost, are rated against things like technical dimensions, compliance, sustainability, even things like diversity. And based on the parameters that are most important to us, Navi has recommended the best supplier. In this case, Acme. Again, based on the balance between cost, technical strength, sustainability, and innovation. And right from here, we can leverage Navi to then accelerate and automate the award and the contracting process. Alright. So from here not only are we doing things faster as a sourcing team by speeding up cycle times by 40% from event creation to award but we're also doing things better ensuring that we're always awarding the best possible supplier across all parameters. Alright. So now let's drill into the contract process and see how we can start to leverage AI across contracts, which is a very ripe process for for automation here. So drilling into the contract view, I'm in our contracts tab and I'm looking at our intelligent import. Right? So when we're using our own paper across Coupa, Coupa makes it really easy to draft contracts with preapproved legal templates, clause libraries, new word plug ins. But it often becomes challenging when legal or procurement teams are, challenged to use third party paper. This is where it can be super time consuming not only to review all of the line items but manually enter the data or create purchase requests off the data. With intelligent import, GenAI extraction, we can just upload those third party papers. And then the GenAI will review the contract, extract all the detail, and prepopulate all of the relevant fields and match your contract language to your specific clause library. So here we can see the contract uploaded on the left and the relevant details extracted on the right. As I scroll down, I'm also gonna see that GenAI contract summary. So if this is a 50 page agreement, GenAI is making it really easy to understand what's most important. As we scroll down, we'll start to see the clauses extracted. As I drill into the clause, I'll see exactly where that information is pulled for from in the agreement. And so this is helping to speed up contract cycle times for third party paper by up to 50%. We then take this a step further by embedding risk, an AI risk clause recommendations into the authoring process. So I'm now authoring this agreement, redlining this agreement in Coupa's authoring tab. And as I review the agreement, I can see that the AI has let me know that risks have been identified with the supplier and that we have some contract intelligence recommendations. Drilling into the recommendations, I can see based on things like the supplier's risk domain, in this case, maybe the supplier has been identified as having inherent risk, Coupa's recommending that we insert an audit or an audit rights clause to protect ourselves on the third party paper. Alright. So with that, again, not only are we doing things faster, but we're actually lowering our contract risk by about 15% through these tailored clause recommendations. So we've used AI to make it quick and easy to submit purchase requests. We've then leveraged AI generated sourcing events off of those purchase requests to drive more savings. We've captured and locked in those savings by using GenAI extraction and risk recommendations to author our contracts. And now we need to actually take action off of this contract. So how can we use Navi to easily create purchase requests off of these large third party agreements rather than having to manually enter this data or review all of the line items to determine what makes the most sense to enter into Coupa. So finally our Navi contract request agent available now. I'm gonna go ahead and open up Navi and I'm gonna go ahead and ask Navi to create a requisition from our just recently published contract sixteen eleven. Navi's gonna review that contract, again maybe it's a 50 page agreement, review all of the details within that contract and then provide a preview of the line items that it's been able to extract. In this case, we've got a Kelly Services SOW. We've got three or four, even five line items pulling from that detail. We could ask Navi to go ahead and split these line items across multiple purchase requests, or we can say this looks good and go ahead and have Navi create the purchase request directly from here. Navi's then created a draft purchase request and took us directly into the cart where all of the line items, the details have been populated, leveraging the attached contract agreement. We can see all the geocoding, the contract attachments, and even the approval workflow populating without any manual data entry or review from your end users. Alright. So with that, I think I'm at time here. I would love to spend even more time going through more innovations. We've really barely scratched the surface today. In fact, at Coupa, we are releasing over a 125 AI capabilities to date, hundreds of capabilities across every major release. And in January, r forty four, we're gonna be releasing 11 new Navi agents. So this is really just the beginning, and we would love to continue partnering with you or to begin partnering with you to ensure that your teams are ready to adopt these capabilities and your workflows and to enable real AI returns across the enterprise. Right. So with that trick no. yeah. No. No. You're not sending it back to me yet fully because there are lots of good questions. But, honestly, recognizing the time, I think the ones that are most important to answer are the ones that have them, the kind of are coming through most commonly. So. thank you so much for that. I think, you know, it's prompted based on the questions coming in. It's prompted lots of thoughts within our our audience's mind. Can you help the audience understand? Is Navi available to everybody? The individual Navi agents, what components do you have to have? So, you know, I don't expect you to go through each agent, but kinda help everybody understand Yeah. what they see and then, you know, how individual Navi activities might be available based on the different, solutions that are available to them. Great question. So Navi is available to the majority of our customers outside of customers in limited, you know, HIPAA environments or, you know, federal environments. So there's, you know, small caveat there, but the majority vast majority of our customers, Navi is available today. And as you saw, Navi is really embedded throughout each stage of the source to pay life cycle. So while many of the Navi agents or or just available with the platform, some do require a specific module, for example, to leverage the Oh, Elsa froze. Is that okay. So I could continue. So what, Unstable. Elsa, there we go. We have you back, Elsa. Go on. You were saying to the average the sourcing agent as. an example. Yes. Apologies. To leverage the sourcing agent as an example, you'd need to have Coupa's sourcing capabilities. So that's how you can think of these agents in general. To leverage the contract intelligence capabilities you would need to be leveraging Coupa's contract authoring capabilities. And then one came in a question about the analytics. Right? To leverage the analytics Navi Analytics agents, you'd have to have the analytics, capability. Exactly. Yeah. Yes. And. I just bring that one because that one was specifically asked. So I think the general, piece for people to be aware of is Navi is available to almost everybody with the exception of the few that can take advantage. As as Elsa mentioned, there are a few customers that can't take advantage for legal regulatory reasons but the agent and the individual activities the agent can do are going to be dependent on the core platform capabilities that you you own but what we've seen and and will see in January, and this is key because there were 11 additional agents coming in January, the agent activity is being, built throughout the system and and therefore will apply to most if not all of our customers. The other piece is what's the cost of Navi? So Navi will, execute on a credit rating but one piece that's really important that we want everyone to know is that every customer has a free allocation of credits, What we you know, so that you can start to look at and understand how the agent could be applied and and drive value within your organization. So please don't look at cost as a limitation because the agents are available with those free credits to be leveraged within each of our customers. One other question, Elsa, is are there any step by step instructions to help our customers activate these AI features in Coupa? I know you mentioned a little bit about partnering with as many as possible, Yes. but do we have some general guides and help that we can direct our customers to? Yes. Absolutely. We have general written guides and help across Coupa Compass, and we can make sure those are linked out as part of our follow-up. But I would encourage everyone, whether you're a prospect or you're a customer, to schedule a deep dive AI conversation with Coupa. We'll bring in the relevant expertise, and I'm a part of those conversations almost daily. Just last week, you know, was part of a a big customer conversation with with Kimberly Clark where we're really working with you to understand where are you at today, what modules are you currently using if you're a Coupa customer, and how can we start getting you to move forward on your AI journey, start taking advantage of AI capabilities that are available to you today but are just not turned on, as well as start to prepare yourself, AI readiness exercise, prepare yourself for the agents that are coming in in January. So hopefully, that was helpful. Combination of written resources, we'll we'll follow-up on and absolutely, you know, reach out, schedule a meeting with with Koopa. We'd love to dive deeper. Yeah. Yes. And and I've I'm gonna tee up something that, is a free offering at the end, so pay attention and if, you know, if we haven't peaked your interest enough to for you to stay over the next, six or seven minutes, I would encourage you to do so because we do have an offering at the end that really demonstrates, and highlights that commitment we are trying to make. We do understand that AI is not just a tech journey. It is fundamentally about shifting the way you work and therefore we have to support the customers on that shift. Right? Raj also highlighted this on a number of his slides but there was one in particular that sticks out where talent was the bottom box and was the most important. Organizations need to recognize the role that their existing and maybe future talent need to play in the adoption of AI. And in a similar way, Cooper recognizes that and are are committed to that journey. So if we want and, again, keep the questions coming in. If we don't get them all answered here, we will be taking a look at it, and we will make sure that whatever messaging we share moving forward, as we publish more on this, as we support you on that journey, we will be taken, onboard all of these points being asked and making sure that we're getting the messages out to that. So in the last few minutes here let's talk a little bit about some of the kind of immediate next steps you could take. One piece you've heard us discuss at Lent is that $8,000,000,000,000 worth of data and that does highlight Coupa's unique positioning within the marketplace because of that in incredible shared anonymized data source across all of our existing customers into this community data. And and what I wanna highlight is some of the, elements, not only building AI, but some of the other elements that we, take advantage of and and use that data for. We produce, reports, whether it's a CFO, this the kind of strategic view of the CFO or the CPO or even the CEO, and we produce, white papers and thought leadership on that. And I would encourage you using this QR code to to take advantage of and download those that are most relevant. In addition to that, we annually produce a benchmark report. What are the strong leading indicators and benchmarks that has different functions, procurement, finance, etcetera, should be measuring to show success and value being delivered to their organization? We show what best in class is in those, and we also talk about the different levers you can pull to improve. For me, this is a critical asset for any function in, transformation mode. And at this point, I believe all functions are in transformation mode and and then and recognize the need for continuous improvement. So I would encourage you to take a look at that benchmark report. Identify maybe a couple of those KPIs that you know within your organization you need to move on and really hone in on those and then start to think about how, AI is gonna help you move the the needle on those. I highlighted a number, of agents that are already live or that or that are coming. I will now share the view of what's gonna be in place by the end of FY sorry, the end of calendar year '26. You'll see a lot more of this has moved to green. And understanding that benchmark and the couple of items that you within your organization need to be committed to moving and then looking at these agents and really understanding how they can help you will fundamentally be the key to, one, that AI adoption, but, two, to the outcome that you want to achieve. Okay? And so this goes back to this point that I encourage you all to take to recognize the role that in partnering with your tech providers, and your SaaS providers, in this case, Coupa, in partnering with us, that combined understanding of your goals, your problems preventing those goals, and how AI and agents overall can help will be the key, foundational steps to success. So last but not least, I wanted to highlight what I teed up and our offers that we're making available to our customers on who are attending these sessions. We know that Journey is gonna take, support, and so there are a few offers that are available to each and every one of you. If you take advantage of them, you can reach out to your, reach out to us to to, leverage these. There will be an email sent to all attending customers with next steps you can take. But we have an option among three free offerings. First and foremost, we're offering a free RealAI digital workshop for existing customers to really assess where they are and what they what AI exists within the offerings that they already own and how they might be able to shift and move their processes to adopt it. So this is a virtual workshop. All we ask is a little bit of your time, but Coupa will sit with you and really walk you on that journey on where you are and where you might be able to get to by leveraging AI that's already available to you. Separately, as an alternative, you could take advantage of Coupa Spend Guard. You heard from Elsa the incredible power of that Spend Guard tool to spot intentional or unintentional, risky, or fraudulent buying by analyzing in real time purchase requisitions and invoice and and where attention is needed directing them to someone for an extra level of, validation. CBRE, and, Clorex just being two of the customers that, as we mentioned, saw a million dollars of savings with that very quickly. And then the third option you could take is AI classification. So loading your spend into AI, spend classification and creating that spend view to identify the opportunities for where you maybe have a contract consolidation, supplier consolidation, duplicate of contracts, etcetera, and and, essentially highlighting opportunities for you to drive greater savings. So watch for the mail after this and the opportunity for you to take advantage of one of these offerings if they interest you, if you wanna continue your journey. With that, I'm gonna go to the last poll of the day and ask you for after your learnings from today's session, what next step would you like to take to continue this? You can obviously on this one, it's not it you don't have to pause at one. You can select multiple of the, options, but you should see that poll in your, interaction panel on the right hand side, and we'll look at these results, as they come up, to see what your, each and every one of you are gonna do. Okay. I do love the idea. We're seeing a lot of you, recognizing the value of sharing within your team. This is a journey, and the more people that understand where you're starting and where you're trying to get to, the better and more effective that journey will be for the organization overall. But each and every one of these activities, will drive great value to you as you look at how you continue from, continue on this journey and and take the AI momentum, with, to life within your company. Alright. This is the last slide I'll put up here. Scan this to receive those offers that I talked of, and, obviously, through that, you can make that selection. Similarly, as I mentioned in the follow-up email, these will be available to you. But if you take action now, it means before you go away, this is taken care of, and you can, move forward with your day. And, hopefully, not only extracted the value that you've gotten from this already, but that continued value, that you'll get from taking advantages on some of those follow ups. With that, I wanna say thank you so much to Raj for that incredible perspective from Accenture and Elsa for, obviously, that detailed demo and all and the additional perspective she gave in some of the answers. Thank you. Thank you. Have a great afternoon, everyone. Bye bye.
